A team of 8th grade students was selected to take part in Rockwell Automation's Middle School Engineering Challenge on Tuesday February 23rd. They include Brian, Anna, Elijah, Josmael, Juliana, & Alan.
For the event they traveled to Rockwell's main Milwaukee headquarters. Once on site, they worked as a team to complete an engineering challenge about robotics and programing automation. All but one of their programs worked, a great effort by the BGMS crew. After the challenge was completed students had lunch and then had an opportunity to visit with with a diverse group of programs that focused on Innovation and engineering. They also got to try their hand at a few other design challenges during this time.
Finally, students toured the building including several engineering labs with live demos and a hike up several staircases to the top of the Allen Bradley Clock Tower! What a view! If you look closely in the background you can even see Bruce Guadalupe Middle School in the background of our group shot.
Congratulations to all the students that were selected!
